Combining a 1.5× squeeze with a reliable autofocus system, the Talon 50mm delivers a bold widescreen look, oval bokeh, and elegant horizontal flares in a compact, lightweight build. Designed for full-frame coverage (36×24mm) and native Sony E-mount, it’s ideal for solo operators, gimbal work, and run-and-gun cinematography.
With a 1.5× squeeze factor, the Talon 50mm creates a distinctly cinematic image with enhanced width and depth. On standard 16:9 recording, you get an ultra-wide desqueezed aspect around 2.66:1. On 3:2 / open-gate workflows (where available), you can achieve a classic 2.39:1 cinemascope frame with efficient sensor use.
The Talon series is designed to keep you moving: use AF for speed and switch to MF whenever you want full creative control. An AF/MF switch supports quick transitions between styles, while the manual focus mode offers a long, precise focus travel for controlled focus pulls.
