About this lens
The Blazar MANTIS 135mm T3.2 1.33X Anamorphic is the longest focal length in the MANTIS lineup, delivering pronounced telephoto compression paired with classic anamorphic character. With full-frame coverage (36×24 mm) and a constant 1.33× squeeze factor, it creates a cinematic 2.39:1 image on standard 16:9 sensors—no open-gate recording required.
The 135mm focal length excels at isolating subjects and compressing backgrounds, making it ideal for emotional close-ups, dramatic portraiture, and detail-driven shots. The T3.2 aperture balances light transmission with controlled depth of field, preserving sharpness while maintaining a distinctly cinematic falloff.
The MANTIS 135mm is designed for real-world film sets. A standardized 80 mm front diameter, 77 mm filter thread, and 0.8-mod focus and iris gears ensure compatibility with matte boxes, follow-focus systems, and rigged cinema setups. A smooth 180° focus rotation allows for precise focus pulls, while the interchangeable mount system provides maximum flexibility across camera platforms.
The lens ships with a native PL or E mount and supports interchangeable mounts, including PL, E, EF, RF, L, and Z. This ensures long-term compatibility with cinema cameras and modern mirrorless systems.

Some Blazar lenses with the official EF mount reach deep into the camera. On certain EF cameras and adapters, the rear of the lens hits parts inside the mount, so the lens won't seat or lock. Please check this before you order.
